MEET THE CHEF

Michael Grogan graduated from Johnson & Wales University in North Miami, Florida where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Culinary Arts and Food Service Management. While in school, Michael gained additional culinary experience working at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel, and had the opportunity to participate in several high-profile events such as the South Beach Wine & Food Festival. Michael then spent three years in central Colorado refining his skills as a chef at the Copper Mountain Resort and increasing his knowledge and experience with varieties of wild game. Michael then moved to Bellingham, Washington where he accepted a position as line cook at the Lighthouse Bar & Grill. Throughout his time at the Lighthouse Bar & Grill, Michael demonstrated professionalism and diligence as he advanced to Sous Chef, and was then promoted to Executive Chef. Michael is passionate about the Bellingham area and the quality of local bounty that it provides. He is dedicated to maximizing the fresh and local produce that appears on our menus, and is committed to preparing it in a way that highlights the food's natural beauty and quality.
